Objective

I am seeking work as a driver/courier or chauffeur. I have done this kind of work for the past 25 years and would like to work part-time, but appreciate that driving work can involve driving on any day of the week, at any hour, day or night. I am not adverse to any of these conditions.I am reliable and trustworthy with previous work experience including handling cash. I am partially retired and still enjoy working hard.

As a chauffeur, I have been employed by hire companies as well as private families, driving luxury vehicles including Rolls-Royce and Bentleys.

Work History

Since 2008 I have been working for Practical Van Hire operating a delivery and collection service. The job is part-time, on an as-and-when-needed basis. Previously I worked for Volvo U.K., delivering and collecting cars from all over the U.K. Until 1985 I was a Compositor at the Daily Telegraph.

As a courier, I have worked for various agencies, delivering a multitude of goods, both in bulk, parcels and delicate, valuable goods.

Education

I am qualified to drive all vehicles (including unrestricted motorcycles) in the following categories:-A, B, BE, B1, C1, C1E, D1, D1E. I have no penalty points on my licence and have been accident- free for many years. I also possess a current CRB certificate issued by the London Borough of Bromley.

Key Skills

I have also worked for a dog charity, picking-up abandoned dogs from both police stations and people who wish to hand over their dogs for re-homing. This work sometimes involved handling dangerous dogs, of which I received training.
